Membership is open to:
U.S. Military Veterans
First Responders (law enforcement, fire, EMS, and related fields)
Patriots: Civilian Film Professionals and Students who support our mission and want to work alongside veterans in production
As a Guild Member, you gain access to:
The Guild Portal – Create your professional profile, showcase skills, and get connected to paid production opportunities.
Training & Workshops – Hands-on instruction across departments including camera, grip, lighting, art, sound, and post-production.
Mentorship & Networking – Learn from industry professionals and veteran mentors.
Crew Placement – Get hired on VGA and partner productions through the Portal.
Cross-Training Opportunities – Learn multiple crafts and gain real on-set experience across roles.
Apply Online: Fill out a short application through our website and verify your service or professional background.
Interview & Orientation: Selected applicants will be invited to a brief virtual or in-person orientation to learn about Guild values, standards, and expectations.
Create Your Profile: Approved members will receive access to the Guild Portal to build their professional profile and start tracking skills, credits, and availability.
Get to Work: Members are eligible for placement on active VGA or partner productions, and can participate in workshops, mentorships, and Development Fund projects.
Guild Members are expected to uphold the same values that define both service and storytelling — integrity, teamwork, professionalism, and accountability. Members represent the Guild on every set and in every partnership, ensuring that the quality of our work matches the purpose behind it.
