The Veterans Guild of America (VGA) is a first-of-its-kind film collective built by veterans, for veterans, LEO's, First Responders & Patriots. We’re redefining how stories are told, who gets to tell them, and how real-world experience translates into art, purpose, and opportunity.
Our mission is to empower military veterans, first responders, and civilians to collaborate across every aspect of film production — from writing and directing to lighting, grip, and camera. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and co-production opportunities, we’re building a self-sustaining ecosystem where skill, discipline, and creativity thrive side by side.
The Veterans Guild of America provides full-scale film and media production services while developing and employing skilled veterans, first responders, and civilians across every department. From pre-production and logistics to on-set crew and post, we bring military discipline and creative precision to every project. For our members, the Guild offers hands-on training, mentorship, and paid opportunities through active productions and partnerships — giving veterans a direct path into the entertainment industry while delivering world-class results for our clients and collaborators.
The VGA operates as a hybrid organization — a for-profit production company (LLC) partnered with a non-profit foundation (501c3). This unique structure allows us to both create professional, commercial work and fund veteran-led training and development programs, ensuring that every dollar invested in the Guild creates real impact on and off set.
No Union Barriers: Members can cross-train and work across departments, learning multiple crafts on a single production.
Veteran-Civilian Collaboration: We unite seasoned industry pros and service members in one crew, promoting teamwork and mentorship.
Development Fund Access: We invest in original film and TV projects that align with our mission and give veterans meaningful creative roles.
Hands-On Learning: Every project doubles as a training ground for members to build experience and credits.
The Veterans Guild Foundation (VGF) serves as our non-profit branch — dedicated to funding education, outreach, and development programs for veterans and first responders in film. Together, the VGA and VGF form a complete pipeline from training to production to distribution.
