Co-Producing with the VGA

Co-Producing

The Veterans Guild of America (VGA) will partner with filmmakers, studios, and production companies to develop and produce film and television projects that are both commercially viable and socially impactful.

By co-producing with the VGA, partners gain access to a highly trained, mission-driven crew of veterans, first responders, and industry professionals — while helping fund the next generation of veteran-led storytelling.

why co-produce?

Professional Crew: Access a national network of skilled veterans and film professionals ready for hire across departments.

Production Support: The VGA can assist with logistics, crew coordination, and qualified personnel to help productions meet veteran-hiring or community impact goals.

Development Fund Partnership: Co-productions can qualify for first-in development funding through the Veterans Guild Development Fund, helping accelerate projects that align with the Guild’s mission.

Tax-Deductible Support: A portion of contributions through the Veterans Guild Foundation (501c3) may be tax-deductible when used to fund training and development programs associated with a co-production.

Public Relations Value: Partnering with the VGA demonstrates tangible support for veterans, the arts, and workforce reintegration — backed by real employment and professional outcomes.

the co-producing process

Initial Consultation – We review your project’s concept, budget, and production needs to determine alignment with the Guild’s mission and production capabilities.

Co-Production Agreement – Terms are outlined to define roles, responsibilities, and the degree of Guild participation (crew support, funding, training integration, etc.).

Development Fund Review – If eligible, your project may receive Development Fund consideration as a first-in partner or fiscal sponsorship through the Veterans Guild Foundation.

Production Phase – The VGA assists with crew placement, training coordination, and ongoing support to ensure high-quality, professional results.

Impact Reporting – Upon completion, a summary of veteran participation, training outcomes, and community impact is provided for both internal and public use.

the development fund

The Veterans Guild Development Fund plays a pivotal role in co-productions. It serves as a flexible financing resource to support early-stage development, proof-of-concept production, or veteran-led creative projects.

Funds are distributed through the Veterans Guild Foundation, ensuring transparency and mission alignment.

By partnering with the VGA, producers not only gain access to qualified crew and first-in funding — they become part of a larger initiative that transforms military and first responder experience into cinematic excellence.
